Most social networking platforms shifted away from user-centric design years ago. Why, you ask? Because they care more about driving revenue and pleasing billionaire stakeholders than providing their users with a safe space to connect.
For years toxic capitalism has steadily eroded the integrity of social platforms, and the impacts to society are clear.
Cabin is our response to the abysmal state of social platforms. It's an open-source, privacy-focused social network designed for users, not corporate stakeholders or politicians, and will serve as an ethical alternative to Facebook.
We are actively developing Cabin and plan to release initially with early access in Summer 2026. If you are also saddened with the current state of social networking, we'd love for you to join the waitlist, because we're building this for people like you.
Thank you!
The democratization of social networks is coming
A decentralized network for building social applications, AT Protocol will be a core feature of Cabin.
Your Cabin is built as a fully private space. Keep it private, or open it to the world—your call.
The only things you'll see in your feed are posts from your friends and topics you follow. No manipulation.
We'll leverage machine learning and community reporting in our ongoing fight against misinformation.
We believe in transparency and helping improve the digital world. Cabin will be forever open-source.
We're exploring some creative ways of generating revenue, none of which take advantage of our users.

Facebook is the most comparable social platform to Cabin, but our approaches to business are vastly different.
